Trump's frustrations with Amazon are no surprise.

Consider this: The collective market value of S&P 500 companies grew by $2.8 trillion since Trump was sworn into office, according to Bespoke Investment Group. Facebook's stock has plummeted about 20% since February 1.

Trump targeted Amazon again Thursday morning, tweeting: "I have state my concerns with Amazon long before the election".

However, in an interview to Bloomberg, the co-founder of Loup Ventures Gene Munster said the chances of the Trump administration causing any lasting damage to Amazon were very slim since the company has not been directly involved in any scandal or controversy.

Trump blames Amazon for the decline of brick-and-mortar retailers and the pain that has caused real-estate developers. Amazon has said it's up to the sellers to collect any taxes and many don't.

"So for Amazon there really is a big advantage on the state sales tax because of current policy", Hassett said.

But she added: "The president has said many times before he's always looking to create a level playing field for all businesses, and this is no different".

Trump's latest assault on Amazon blamed the company for forcing other retailers out of business.

"The #AmazonWashingtonPost, sometimes referred to as the guardian of Amazon not paying internet taxes (which they should) is FAKE NEWS!" Mr Trump tweeted early on Thursday. "Towns, cities and states throughout the US are being hurt - many jobs being lost!"

So even if many managers seem to be repositioning their portfolios, through the purchase of options on the securities, in order to seize the possible future rebound, some people start asking if the end of the "bull" market is near, especially due to the fury against the Silicon Valley giants harbored by the man who had helped to make the last bullish push past year, Donald Trump.

Seattle-based Amazon has fought for years against collecting sales tax, but now collects it in states that have a sales tax. "Amazon vendors that can run through the Amazon Marketplace. don't collect the sales tax".

The issue might be resolved elsewhere in the federal government. "And as a result companies like Amazon can buy and sell good without having to pay basic retail taxes that your stores and your convenience stores and all the folks around, when you walk out of the studio over there and grab something, you have to pay". And the Supreme Court is set to hear a case that could allow states to require all online sellers to collect sales taxes, regardless of whether they have a physical presence in the state where the buyer lives. Congress could pass legislation making online sales taxes more uniform. "Should be charging MUCH MORE!" he tweeted.

It is not clear that Amazon is responsible for the United States Postal Service (USPS) losing money, although Wall Street analysts have estimated it pays USPS roughly half what it would to United Parcel Service Inc UPS.N or FedEx Corp FDX.N to deliver a package. But the Postal Service, in its annual report to Congress, said its revenue from shipping and packages in the year that ended September 30 was $500 million above its forecasts, at $19.5 billion, "due to e-commerce growth" and successful marketing and sales campaigns.
