Serena Williams set up a mouth-watering Indian Wells third round showdown against her sister Venus with a straight-sets victory over Kiki Bertens on Saturday.
Venus moved into the third round by beating Romanian Sorana Cirstea 6-3 6-4 in the preceding match.
The sisters will resume their longtime rivalry on Monday. "I would prefer to play someone else, anybody else, literally anybody else, but it has to happen now". Serena leads Venus 17-11 all time and has won eight of their last nine meetings, most recently the Australian Open final past year.
It was a straight-set win for Williams, 7-5, 6-3, but wasn't an easy match by any means.
