IPL 2018 | After Steve Smith, David Warner's captaincy in doubt as SRH await CA decision
And now with Warner's participation in IPL increasingly clouded by Cricket Australia's next course of action with him, SRH are looking at other options with the league starting in two weeks.
Respected ABC chief cricket commentator Jim Maxwell reported the news after Warner quit as captain of the SunRisers Hyderabad IPL team.
BCCI has directed their respective teams, Rajasthan Royals, and Sunrisers Hyderabad to find a replacement for Steve Smith and David Warner.
Sunrisers duly confirmed on Wednesday that Warner had stood down as their captain. After which the Australian skipper Smith and Warner stepped down as the captain and vice-captain.
The cricketers can face trouble in upcoming IPL after the ball-tampering scandal against South Africa in Test.
After reports of CA banning David Warner and Steve Smith for one year went viral, the IPL Governing Council has chose to not allow these players to participate in the tournament's 11th edition. Warner first started working with LG as the company's brand ambassador in 2014.

Smith has already been suspended for one Test and docked his entire match fee by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for his role in the affair.
