SanDisk's New Extreme 400GB is the World's Fastest UHS-I microSD Card
These speeds and the memory itself are compatible with a majority of devices according to their maker and the new microSD card line comes with the A2 specification for 400IOPS read and 2000 IPS write speeds. Write speeds are up to 90MB/s.
The SanDisk Extreme UHS-I microSDXCT card conforms to the bleeding edge A2 specs, which has full backward compatibility (we're told) but uses proprietary WD technology to boost read speeds to 160MB/s - significantly faster than its nearest rival.
For retail, there's the worlds fastest 400GB microSD card, which, the company claims can rival internal memory on many handsets, making it ideal for the storage sharing capabilities in recent versions of Android. It also offers extreme speeds and fast transfer for 4K Ultra HD video. Western Digital Corporation is doing just that with the new industry-leading solution that enables consumers to store and consume more data conveniently.
To protect against data loss, the card also gives the owner a copy of RescuePRO Deluxe data recovery software.

Western Digital is also demonstrating the future of flash memory card technology with Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe)-enabled cards, created to deliver the performance required for the next wave of data and content-intensive applications. The cost is less micro-expect to shell out $300 for the largest capacity and fastest SD card available. It's shockproof, waterproof, X-ray-proof, and can operate in a wide temperature range, from from a frigid 13 degrees Fahrenheit up to a burning 185 Fahrenheit.
These speeds are particularly important for devices that capture high-resolution and data-heavy files, such as RAW burst image capture and 4K/8K drone video recording.
In MWC in Barcelona, Western Digital is also showcasing a new platform to enable the future of flash memory cards with a demonstration of its PCIe-enabled SD card.
