A stronger low-pressure system moves into the Atlantic with wrap-around circulation keeping mostly cloudy skies and a chance for snow showers across the region through the weekend. Patchy fog before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 56. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Southwest wind 5 to 10 miles per hour.
Thursday Night Snow showers. It will still be a comfortable day with highs in the middle to upper 50s.
Overnight: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 64. Prevailing south winds 15 to 30 miles per hour with gusts to around 55 miles per hour.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 67. Winds could gust as high as 25 miles per hour.
Friday night: Clear with a low around 42. The Nor'easter won't bring any snow to the D.C. area, "but it is going to really crank up the winds around here".
