According to a report, Tom Crean is finalizing an agreement to become the next head coach at the University of Georgia. In nine seasons at Georgia, Fox compiled a record of 163 wins and 133 losses, leading the Bulldogs to two NCAA Tournament appearances.

Georgia reportedly tried to hire former Ohio State coach Thad Matta, but Matta turned the Bulldogs down.

Crean, who's served as a studio analyst and color commentator at ESPN this season, spent nine seasons at IN before parting ways with the school following the 2016-17 season.

For his head coaching career, Crean is 356-231. Prior to taking the IN job Crean spent nine seasons at Marquette, posting a 190-96 record and leading the Golden Eagles to five NCAA Tournament appearances.

Crean eventually took over one of college basketball's blue-blood programs following his tenure at Marquette when the IN job opened after Kelvin Sampson resigned IN 2008 because of a recruiting violations scandal. He reached the Final Four with Marquette in 2003 and went to three Sweet Sixteen's at Indiana.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to report Crean's hiring. Crean went 166-135 over nine seasons at IN, which included four NCAA tournament appearances and two regular-season championships IN his final six years there.

"I've never lost the drive to coach, but I haven't (been) consumed with the fact I'm not coaching", Crean said, per Shannon Ryan of the Chicago Tribune.

Former Indiana coach Tom Crean is expected to be named the new head coach at Georgia.
