Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 latest update brings Face-Unlocking abilities
If you have been looking for a stock Android on a budget, you might have come across the Xiaomi Mi A1. Xiaomi India teased the launch of a new series of its smart TV on its Twitter feed.
Manu Jain - Global VP of Xiaomi and Managing Director of Xiaomi India - shared a teaser image on Twitter by tweeting "Mi fans!"
Xiaomi as promised earlier is now rolling out a new update for the Redmi Note 5, which now allows the device to use face-unlock as one of its security features, via this latest OTA update.

The Mi TV 4 has seen a fantastic response in India having been sold out in mere seconds in the two flash sales that have taken place so far. You also get the Mi Remote, which along with the IR emitter, can also control any other electronics that are connected to your TV, including set-top boxes, Blu-Ray players and the like.
Last we heard, the newly launched Mi TV 4 sold out in almost 10 seconds when it was up for sale on 22 February. According to the leak, the Mi TV 4A 32-inch variant will cost Rs 12,999 and the 43-inch variant will cost Rs 21,999. The phone was launched a year ago, and Xiaomi had joined hands with Google to deliver stock Android experience on a budget. Along with the Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi also announced the Redmi Note 5, which is rebranded Redmi 5 Plus. It is the company's first offering in the smart TV segment in the country and garnered positive interest owing to the impressive features and the aggressive pricing of Rs 39,999. However, in India, the Mi TV 4 debuted only in 55-inch size.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 4A comes with a 43-inch full HD display with 1920x1080 pixel resolution and 3000: 1 contrast ratio.
In China, the 43-inch Mi TV 4A with 1080p resolution is valued at CNY 2,099 (approx Rs 20,000) while the 49-inch 1080p Mi TV 4A is estimated at CNY 2,599 (approx Rs 24,750). This is noticeably cheaper compared to already affordable companies like Vu and TCL. Xiaomi had introduced its Mi LED TV 4 55-inch model with 4K HDR support.
