8-Month-Old Raped Killed In Indore. CCTV Shows Accused Carrying Baby
The initial investigation by police revealed one Suneel Bheel, a 21-year-old youth, as the prime accused as he was spotted in the basement at 4:45 am as per the CCTV footage.
The incident came to light on Friday when a shopkeeper went to open his shop and found the body of the infant lying there. The accused, Sunil Bheel, had kidnapped her early today morning when she was asleep with her parents outside the Rajwada Fort. A six-month-old infant's blood-soaked body was recovered from the basement of a building in Indore, said a police official on Friday.
The accused and the infant's parents knew each other and were in the business of selling balloons, he added.
Amid outrage over the rape-murder of the infant, the State Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh has asked lawyers here to not appear for the accused, Naveen Gadge, who was remanded in police custody for two days by the court.
"CCTV images show he carried the baby on his shoulder and took her to the basement of a commercial building, around 50 metres away from where her family was sleeping", Mishra said.
He also said the accused walked past a police patrol party as well. Police have seized his bloodstained clothes and the cycle. Her body was found in the basement of Shiv Villas Palace.

On Wednesday, a 10-year-old girl was similarly raped and murdered at a wedding in Chhattisgarh.
