We do know the Patriots' opponents for the 2018 season.

The NFL schedule will officially be released Thursday at 8 p.m.

The Jets have at least two games in primetime this year after having only one last season.

Sunday, Sept. 9 vs. Houston, 1 p.m. This game will mark the return of Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, who missed part of last season with a knee injury. Last year's home opener vs. the 'Fins went swimmingly as they posted their first win of the season, 20-6. Then they finally have a bye.

Thursday Night ChangeupFor the first time in four years, the Jets' Thursday night foe will not be the Buffalo Bills. New England, Dec. 2 at Tennessee) and a schedule strength of.546 (70-58), thanks mostly to the Patriots' 13-3 record multiplied by two. The first New England game will be at MetLife on November 25 after the bye - the third straight year the Green & White bye has fallen on Week 11. The Patriots' last slate of road trips is in Week 14 and Week 15 when they travel to Miami and then Pittsburgh. It's the Patriots' first Week 1 afternoon game since 2014.

The game will kick off at either 4:30 or 8:20 p.m., the time to be determined after Week 8.

Only four teams - New England, Tennessee, Jacksonville and Buffalo - made the playoffs last season.The Texans play both Super Bowl teams, including a trip to Philadelphia on December 23.Their other game against the NFC East is at Washington on November 18.After traveling to Seattle and Los Angeles to play the Rams last season, the farthest west they get is Denver on November 4 when Case Keenum is expected to be the Broncos' starting quarterback.Interestingly, the Texans have games against teams that have the top-five picks in next week's draft: the Browns, Giants, Jets, Colts and Broncos.
