Local gas prices rise another 7.1 cents per gallon last week
"Gas prices are going up across the country as the market continues to purge winter-blend gasoline to make room for summer storage", said Lloyd Albert, AAA Northeast senior vice president of public and government affairs.
Gas prices had the most expensive March in four years, averaging $2.35 for the entire month - an increase of 30 cents from March 2017. On average, prices at the pump climbed 19 cents in the last three weeks.
AAA says the national gas price is $2.66 a gallon.
Arizona, AZ, April 2- Average retail gasoline prices in Arizona have risen 5.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.67/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 2,269 gas outlets in Arizona.
Including the change in gas prices in Lincoln during the past week, prices yesterday were 33.2 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 13.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

States with the highest average gasoline prices: California ($3.50), Hawaii ($3.46), Washington ($3.16), Alaska ($3.08), OR ($3.04), Nevada ($3.02), Pennsylvania ($2.87), MI ($2.77), Idaho ($2.76) and NY ($2.76).
Michigan's lowest average price was about $2.67 per gallon in the Flint area.
Topeka- $2.42/g, down 0.4 cents per gallon from last week's $2.42/g.
