The reunion with Manu Rishi Chadha, who wrote the dialogue for Deol's best movie, Oye Lucky! And the rival Nanu Ki Jaanu has to contend with for the public's attention is Varun Dhawan's October, which started abysmally slowly but managed to pull itself up to a satisfactory enough level.it has a collection of Rs 30.24 crore till reports last came in. Why are you behaving like a woman, his partner (Manu Rishi Chadha) tells him. Joining him in the film is Patralekhaa, who too was seen two years back in dud Love Games.

At the special screening of their upcoming horror-comedy film "Nanu Ki Jaanu", lead actors Abhay Deol.

Apart from the goons scurrying aimlessly about, we get a pretty ghost in moony pursuit of a conman, a anxious mother, a grieving father with a yen for ice slabs being put to eye-popping use, and flat-owners who glug beer on the sly, it being a beverage you have to apparently hide from mums, wives, and ghosts alike: given the dislike on display, you'd have thought it was a unsafe narcotic powder. In these times of #MeToo movement, where such matters are seen with so much scrutiny, it is highly irresponsible of the writers to add this kind of humour. Nanu Ki Jaanu box office colelctions will have to, of course, have to do it with a smaller and less iconic cast. A father breaks down reminiscing about his dead daughter, as a spirit's bluish fingers carresses his neck from down a chimney. Unfortunately, the feelings are one sided and it is the ghost doing all the loving for a living man who had tried to help when she was dying in the real world. Background score of the movie is passable, but is better than the songs. As a filmmaker, we always try to please the audience through story of the film and performances in it so I can't figure out what that particular thing which have connected with audience. The most hard part in a horror comedy like Nanu Ki Jaanu is to give fans enough scary as well as laugh inducing moments.

Why Abhay Deol why? A usually good Rajesh Sharma hams like there is no tomorrow.

And pray, why was Patralekhaa even needed in the movie? And to think, both Deol and Patralekhaa are returning to the big screen after two years for this!
