The Sarasota Sheriff's Office responded to the 2000 block of Tocobaga lane for reports of an"animal problem and discovered the 11-foot gator at the bottom of the pool
Authorities were called to get an unwelcome guest out of a backyard swimming pool Friday night.
The 'gator even put up a courageous fight before it was captured. The couple says it also busted though the screen porch.
Sarasota County Sheriff's Office posted the video on their YouTube page and captioned the upload: "Just no". 'I felt a little apprehensive but we could see he really wasn't moving'.
The Sarasota County deputies called an animal trapper to remove the alligator after they arrived at the home.

On Facebook, the Sheriff's Office posted a video of a trapper pulling the reptile from the swimming pool with the hashtags #NeveraDullMoment and #OnlyinFlorida.
Earlier this week the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission issued a warning to residents to be more aware of their surroundings as gators become more active as temperatures rise.
