Using a set of easy-to-use templates anyone can create customized experiences for Alexa within minutes just by filling in the blanks.
"Alexa Skill Blueprints is an entirely new way for you to teach Alexa personalized skills just for you and your family", said Steve Rabuchin, VP of Amazon Alexa, in a statement. The platform Alexa Skill Blueprints provides templates for users to fill in responses for the software for use in common situations.
You don't need to be a coder anymore to write some Skills for Amazon's Echo and other Alexa devices. Unfortunately, you can only access the skill blueprints if you're in the USA, and Amazon didn't say whether they'll eventually be available outside the country. "You don't need experience building skills or coding to get started-my family created our own jokes skill in a matter of minutes, and it's been a blast to interact with Alexa in a totally new and personal way". You can have fun customizing responses to questions like "Alexa, what is the best city?" or "Alexa, who has the best sense of humor?"
In one example for the Houseguest skill, you could say "Alexa, open My Houseguest Guide" to then hear an intro from Alexa introducing some of the custom questions your guests can ask, such as "How do I turn on the TV?" or "Where's the toilet paper?".
