Special status issue: Naidu sits on a day-long fast on his B'day today
Naidu's Telegu Desam party (TDP) has been in conflict with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led central government for sometime now over the special status issue.
Naidu's Dharma Porata Deeksha, or fight for justice, is being held at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Vijayawada and will go on till 7 pm, The Times of India reported.
Subsequently, TDP withdrew 2 ministers from the union cabinet and pulled out from the NDA coalition altogether.

He said that he had waited four years and made 29 trips to Delhi but got nothing except some "minor things".
