Ariana Grande to Drop First Single From New Album on April 27

It has been known that Grande took a 4-month hiatus on social media since her last post was seen December 31 a year ago.

After tweeting what appears to be a tear emoji, Ari then wrote to her followers saying, "missed you" before she tweeted an upside down message that read "no tears left to cry 4.20".

After weeks of rumors and days of mysterious drip emojis, Ariana Grande confirmed on Tuesday (April 17) that her new single is titled "No Tears Left to Cry" and will arrive this Friday.

Originally, it was rumored that Ari would be dropping her new single on April 27th, but on her Instagram Stories last night, EVERYTHING changed. In her second tweet, Ariana posted a blue water or teardrop emoji. In the snap, Frankie is wearing a shirt with the title of his sister's new song on it.

The star's manager Scooter Braun has hinted her fourth album will have a more mature sound, telling Variety magazine: "She has such an extraordinary voice and it's time for her to sing the songs that define her".
