Arkansas State Police officer, suspect shot on Easter Sunday

An Arkansas State Police trooper was wounded Sunday night during an apparent traffic stop on USA 270 in the City of Rockport, located along Interstate 30 north of Malvern.

State police say Sheldon's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Several police departments are searching for a person who stole a street sweeper, then almost drove it into a state trooper's auto on Sunday morning, officials said. All rights reserved.
