Avicii's ex girlfriend pays tribute: 'I never stopped loving you'
The electro-dance sensation, whose real name was Tim Bergling, was found dead last week. He had suffered from acute pancreatitis, which was partially blamed on his drinking.
A police source in Oman, where Avicii was found dead, last week said there was no suspicion of criminal activity following the artist's death.
However, nearly a week later, and three days after Bergling's family broke their silence on the tragedy, another statement on Thursday (April 26th) from his relatives implies - but doesn't explicitly state - that he may have committed suicide. "An over-achieving perfectionist who traveled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress", the family's statement said on Thursday.
"We love you, the family".
In conclusion, Avicii's family wrote that the man known outside the music world as Tim Bergling was "not made" for the industry, as he was a "sensitive guy" who loved the fans who looked up to him and supported his career, but ultimately was uncomfortable with his celebrity status. Who you were and your music will carry on the memory of you.
The song "Wake me up" rang out from the 80-metre-high tower of Oscar's Church in central Stockholm, where Avicii, whose real name is Tim Bergling, grew up.
