The Supreme Court of Pakistan summoned on Thursday Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak in cases related to public welfare issues.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) party slogan of "tabdeeli" is failed to satisfy people in KP despite having the majority in provincial government.

CJP visited the Al Razi Medical College in Peshawar and directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to seize the college's record of for taking high fees from students under various heads.

While a hearing separate case about the deployment of security personnel in the province, the CJP ordered that all additional security protocol granted to unentitled persons be withdrawn. As the term nears its end, people seem dissatisfied with PTI's performance in the province.

The provincial government has miserably failed to establish even a single waste recycling plant in the province, said the CJ. In spite of the expectations, they say, nothing has changed for them.

The KP CM appeared before the Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday after being summoned during CJP's visit to the apex court's Peshawar registry. According to him, health hazards increase when hospitals and municipalities dump their waste in the open.

The CJP also heard a case about exorbitant fees charged by private colleges in the province.

Justice Nisar stressed on KP government to speed up the hydro-power projects for ensuring cheap electricity to the people.

KP Inspector General (IG) Salahuddin Mehsud also appeared in court after being summoned and on being questioned informed the court that 3,000 police personnel were deployed for the protection of non-essential officials in the province. The IG ordered his department to call back the police officials by 2pm today.
