April. 20 (ANI): Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is contesting the upcoming polls from Chamundeshwari constituency, filed his nomination on Friday. He filed nominations with the Returning Officer of the Chamundeshwari Constituency B Venkatesh.

He along with his son visited the Siddarameshwara temple at his native village of Siddaramanahundi, and the famous Chamundeshwari temple on Chamundi hill in Mysuru. Siddaramaiah also accused JD (S) of an opportunist party.

The prestigious battle between Siddaramaiah and Janata Dal (Secular) MLA G T Devegowda for the Chamundeshwari Constituency in the upcoming Assembly elections in the state gains momentum as both the leaders filed their nominations for the constituency today. The other prominent leaders who filed their papers included ministers Sharanprakesh Patil (Sedam), Priyank Kharge, son of Congress leader in the Lok Sabha, M Mallikarjun Kharge (Chittapur), BJP's Mallikaya V Guttedar (Afzalpur).
