After sustaining a nasty fall that left her requiring more than 40 stitches in her face last November, the singer took some downtime.
On a happy note, the cheers and the sounds of "aww" were genuine when Reba announced that Chris Stapleton couldn't make it because he is a new proud papa of twins, and on his birthday no less.
ET's Nancy O'Dell caught up with the show's host, Reba McEntire, backstage afterwards where she gushed about Underwood.

When the show finally did kick off the comedy portion of the night, Reba came out and delivered a few good barbs, including at the previous male hosts saying that it only takes one woman in order to do the job of two men.
