It's been a unusual couple of months for Brian Bowen in college basketball.
Bowen was later granted a release from Louisville and joined Frank Martin and the South Carolina Gamecocks in January. If not, he'll hope to catch on with an National Basketball Association team.

Bowen is still awaiting word on his eligibility with SC for the 2018-19 season, but he will declare for the 2018 NBA Draft as a precautionary measure, according to ESPN's Jeff Goodman.

Bowen's draft status is uncertain, as scouts have yet to see what the 6-foot-7 forward can do against college level competition. All without playing a game. "With the opportunity to declare, he will be able to gather more information and get a feel for what the NBA's opinions of him are".
