Konecny got a pass across to Giroux for a one-timer and he scored to make it a 1-0 Flyers lead.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Wayne Simmonds just had to tap the puck over the blue line but couldn't. As Pastrnak skated down the far boards he sent a shot across the penalty kill box that hit the skate of Andrew MacDonald and deflected past Mrazek to gut the lead down to only one goal once again.

It took Jakub Voracek's pep talk and Claude Giroux's acrobatics to finally give host Philadelphia a crucial win.

Mrazek appeared well on his way to helping the Flyers win this very important game when four attempts by the Flyers to clear the zone failed in the final seconds, leading to a terrific goal by Patrice Bergeron with 3.8 ticks left on the regulation clock.

"The play at the end of the game is a play that can't happen".

"Clearly in my mind he is", Flyers coach Dave Hakstol said when asked if Giroux is a likely Hart Trophy candidate.

"We started to do a really good job of controlling the puck in their zone", Holden said.

Voracek threw a pass ahead to Giroux behind the defense.

Travis Konecny added a goal and an assist for the Flyers (40-25-14), who improved to 5-0-3 in their past eight games.

The Bruins gained a point to stand at 49-17-12 and remain two points up on Tampa Bay in the Eastern Conference.

Sammi Giancola Explains Why She Won't Be Joining 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation'
Whatever makes her happy, makes her happy. "I wish she would be on it but I understand why she's not going to be on it". While speaking with ET on Thursday, Deena Cortese said she tried her hardest to get Sammi to join the show.

Bergeron helped the ailing Bruins earn a point.

"We have to stay positive", Mrazek said. While Nash's injury doesn't appear to be too serious, Carlo reportedly sustained a broken left fibula, marking yet another tough blow to an already hobbled Bruins team.

"Obviously, you're not going to get into the playoffs playing like that", Panthers forward Vincent Trocheck said. By no means is this a meaningless game for the Bruins who have the Tampa Bay Lightning only trailing them by a single point for the top seed in the Eastern Conference. Konecny has been red hot lately and recorded his 24th goal of the season.

They broke things open and chased Florida (39-30-8) goalie James Reimer from the game in the second period with three more goals. He's a great leader and I just think overall he's definitely one of the stars of this league, if not in the top five of the entire league.

"But Krejci, absolutely I'd say he knew I was there", he said.

"Not what you want right now, but we'll just have to see how they are".

The goal was Giroux's 28th of the season, tying a career high, and his 94th point of the season, setting a new career high.

Jets 3, Maple Leafs 1: Josh Morrissey and Dustin Byfuglien scored 1:10 apart in the second period as visiting Winnipeg beat Toronto. Flyers G Alex Lyon was recalled on an emergency basis to back up Mrazek as Michal Neuvirth (lower body) was unavailable. The two teams last played each other during the Flyers five-game winless streak to start off the month of March.

The Flyers are back in action on Tuesday night for their final road game of the regular season, taking on the New York Islanders.
