The Giants released WR Brandon Marshall

It never really worked out for Brandon Marshall during his time with the New York Giants.

On Thursday, Gettleman has made another move by letting Brandon Marshall know he'll be released by the team, according to Kimberley A. Martin of the Washington Post.

The New York Giants are going through some changes during this National Football League offseason.

Marshall, 34, is three years removed from a 1,500 yard season with the New York Jets, so there will undoubtedly be suitors for the wideout. He finished the season with just 18 catches for 154 yards and no touchdowns, appearing in five games.

Gettleman, asked if he would be interested in free agent receiver Dez Bryant, said he "has interest in everybody".

Marshall has racked up at least 1,000 yards in eight of his 12 seasons and has over 12,000 yards for his career.
