Inconvenient whiteout: Jets' flight diverted by massive snowstorm

After losing two tightly contested games to the Jets in Winnipeg last week, the Minnesota Wild were in danger of being buried like the snow-bound city they returned to over the weekend. Through 85 regular season outings, 42 of its games have gone over the total, while 41 have gone under and just two have pushed.

Former Capitals center Mathieu Perreault was knocked out of the Winnipeg Jets' playoff opener against the Minnesota Wild, Wednesday night. In the playoffs, the team is risen to an average of 38.3 shots on goal ( 3.0 goals per game). The crowd was all insane like in Winnipeg for the first two games.

The Wild were held without a shot on goal through the opening 15 minutes of the third period.

Winnipeg deserves great credit for turning this game around.

The second period went from bad to worse for the Jets, when Myers was checked by Foligno and caught his skate at the bottom of the boards. "It's the disease of slowness and that's what cost us the game".

Grabbing the win in game three was Devan Dubnyk, who stopped 29 of the 31 shots that he faced to improve to 8-16 with a 2.65 GAA and a.906 save percentage in the playoffs in his career.

In order to claw back into this series, they must clean up their game and increase their speed.
