Kawhi Leonard injury update Spurs forward returns to New York for rehab
Wojnarowski has previously reported that Kawhi Leonard is the one who will decide when he returns to the San Antonio Spurs lineup.
Leonard has appeared in just nine games this season because of the quad ailment.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Leonard returned to NY for rehab on Monday.
Now, though, it seems more unlikely by the day that the former NBA MVP candidate will return to the Spurs this season - and possibly beyond. He spent an extended period in NY prior to the February All-Star break.
After a few encouraging reports over the last couple of weeks, there was a growing possibility that Kawhi could return for the playoffs.

Spurs All-Star Kawhi Leonard has traveled to NY for a second time as he continues to rehab his injured quadriceps, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Michael C. Wright report. Wojnarowski said there's no timetable for Leonard's return. The Spurs now are in sole possession of the 4th seed in the Western Conference playoffs with six games remaining.
San Antonio now holds the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference.
