Bill Nye the Science Guy Goes Hands-on With Nintendo Labo in Launch Day Video
If you're in the mood for "the weirdest kind of fun", Nintendo Labo might be for you. Nintendo invited Nye into the "Toy-Con Lab", where he had the opportunity to build some of Labo's Toy-Cons and play around with them.
Are you planning on picking up either of the Nintendo Labo kits, or are you still hesitant about it? Most of Nye's time is spent playing around with the RC cars and the fishing rod, but we also catch glimpses of the other devices included in the Variety Kit. People will still need to purchase Labo's software to make use of most of the features of the kits, and the bundles provide customers with all the pieces pre-made, as well as additional materials like foil tape required by some of the kits. It'll be interesting to see how Nintendo Labo performs with consumers. From the basic engineering principles of building each kit, to promoting coding principles in the Toy-Con Garage, Labo could properly open the door for video games in schools. Though it definitely isn't your garden variety video game, it isn't hard to see Labo's do-it-yourself nature appealing to children and parents alike.
