Adult entertainment streaming site Pornhub has announced a partnership with cryptocurrency Verge (XVG) and will now accept the coin as payment for Pornhub Premium and all Pornhub purchases, according to a press release published today, April 17.
Using cryptocurrency for the payment is an innovative idea to protect the privacy.
The Pornhub release explicitly states that it is "the partnership Verge had solicited donations from users to close", but exactly which company received the payment in question remains a worrying mystery.
Corey Price, Vice President of Pornhub, has said that the company had been "looking at crypto for quite some time", and that although "overall adoption is relatively low, we think it has gained enough steam for us to penetrate the market". In our efforts to keep current with our community's privacy and payment preferences, Pornhub will now be accepting Verge as a means of payment for services like Pornhub Premium and more, on our platforms.
