Singer Roberta Flack was rushed to the hospital on Friday night from the Apollo Theatre in Harlem, where she was performing in a charity concert.

The "Killing Me Softly" soul singer was appearing at a benefit for the Jazz Foundation of America when she fell ill, according to TMZ.

Flack was "able to leave the stage under her own power" before calling an ambulance to the venue in Harlem.
