The Team India and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain might not like to remember the knock that resulted in yet another record for him.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to field against winless Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium here on Tuesday.

Rohit also showered high praise on the West Indian opener Evin Lewis who saw two of his teammates dismissed of their first ball at the beginning of the innings before going on to score an important half century.

Rohit Rising: Rohit Sharma found himself in the middle on the third ball of the day after Umesh Yadav had clean bowled his two predecessors.

It was the first win for the Mumbai Indians this season, pushing them ahead of RCB on the IPL table after four matches. Kohli hit a few big ones right at the end to finish the innings at 92* but his effort went in vain as Bangalore fell short by a big margin runs.

With one run required of the last four balls off The Fizz, a victory was looking inevitable for Delhi. All the RCB bowlers went for runs, including Umesh in his second spell. MI's total was efficiently defended by the bowlers, while Krunal Pandya picked up 3 wickets, Mayank Markande and Jasprit Bumrah chipped in with 2 each.

Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma termed their last game which the hosts won by 46 runs as the flawless one.

Though RCB lost the match by 46 runs, skipper Virat Kohli shined as he slammed unbeaten 92 runs off 62 deliveries. He plundered 10 boundaries and five sixes, with his final 20 balls yielding the captain 44 runs. However, Rohit Sharma and Evin Lewis with their aggressive batting helped MI to score massive 213 runs.

That stoppage did little to affect Kohli's concentration, as the captain continued his one-man assault on the Mumbai attack. "Once he gets a start, it's hard to bowl at him". "It is better that we let them to (do) their thing and that's how you get the best out of them", Rohit said.

After the fall of Lewis' wicket in the 12th over by Corey Anderson, Krunal Pandya (15) also tried to maintain the same pace but failed and got run out in the 16th over.
