Amazon has more than 100 million Amazon Prime subscribers around the world, Jeff Bezos revealed in a letter to shareholders on Wednesday.

Amazon shares climbed 1.5% after Bezos's letter was published.

Amid other breaking news about Amazon including an undercover warehouse worker in the United Kingdom claiming employees had no time to use restrooms and a new partnership with Best Buy to sell Smart TVs running the Fire TV OS, we've finally learned how many paying Prime subscribers there are. Previous estimates by outside analysts pegged the number at 90 million in 2017.

Estimates from earlier this year found that almost half of USA households have Prime membership.

13 years post-launch, we have exceeded 100 million paid Prime members globally.

Bezos also addressed things like Amazon's growth in India, cashierless Amazon Go stores, and improvements to Alexa's intelligence that took place within the past year.

Bezos kicked off the letter by doling out some advice on how to running a business.
