About one hundred and fifty Russian diplomats have also been ousted from 29 other countries.

The Russian Foreign Ministry asked the global agency that monitors chemical weapons for information Sunday about the investigation of the poisoning of a former Russian spy and his daughter in England.

Russian diplomats who were expelled from the USA arrived back in Moscow on Sunday. London expelled 23 Russian diplomats, while the U.S. sent home 60 alleged "spies" and closed Russia's consulate in Seattle. Newly appointed National Security Adviser John Bolton has called for "very disproportionate" action in "cyberspace and elsewhere" against Russian Federation in response to meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

Today, the Russian consulate in Seattle will shut its doors in line with a White House order that will see the expulsion of 60 Russian from the country. Britain claims it was the Soviet-manufactured nerve agent Novichok and has said Russian Federation is likely responsible, which Moscow adamantly denies.

Each country has expelled 23 of the other's diplomats and Russian Federation has further ordered Britain to reduce its staffing at the embassy in Moscow to the same level Russian Federation maintains in London.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also submitted questions to British and French authorities on Saturday.

Germany joined the United States and other European countries in standing with Britain in a major standoff over the attack on Sergei Skripal and his daughter.

The Foreign Office say Saturday it was reviewing the Russian request to meet with Yulia Skripal, a Russian citizen, "in line with our obligations under global and domestic law".

British Prime Minister Theresa May has blamed the Russian government for the attack on the Skripals, a charge denied by the Kremlin.

Russian Federation presented today 14 questions to the United Kingdom and France on the case of the double agent Serguei Skripal who, according to London, was poisoned with a chemical agent in the English city of Salisbury.

Sergei Skripal, 66, remains in critical condition, but his daughter Yulia, 33, has been "improving rapidly" and is no longer in critical condition, British health officials said on March 29.
