On Tuesday, Southwest Airlines Flight 1380 from NY to Dallas made an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport after one of its engines failed and caused an explosion that sent shrapnel into the cabin.
The National Transportation Safety Board said it was collecting information on the incident and sending a team to the site.
"I just remember holding my husband's hand, and we just prayed and prayed and prayed", said Amanda Bourman, a passenger from NY.
Southwest Airlines said it is "in the process of gathering more information" and did not immediately indicate what caused the trouble. He said there was a fuel leak in one of the engines when firefighters arrived and a small fire was quickly brought under control.
