
Steven Bochco Dead at 74
On Sunday, Steven Bochco, who helped shape modern TV drama with innovative shows such as Hill Street Blues and NYPD Blue, died at 74.
"Steven fought cancer with strength, courage, grace and his unsurpassed sense of humour", Bochco's family explained in a statement released by newspaper, adding that at time of his death was accompanied by his loved ones. "He died peacefully in his sleep with his family close by".
A transplant in late 2014 was credited with prolonging Bochco's his life.
In addition to his three most famous shows, the 10-time Emmy Award victor also was behind the Neil Patrick Harris ABC comedy-drama "Doogie Howser, M.D." and the TNT drama "Murder in the First".
Details about the interment service "will be forthcoming", according to Arnold. "I thought, 'If I can't find a way to revitalize this form, I'm going to be out looking for a real job, '" he said in a 2005 interview with ABC News.
