"We acknowledge that the initial appearance of the video, absent comment from the FWPD, may raise questions", the statement said.

The officers' names have not yet been released.

But the police chief provided a summary.

Police said the officers were called to meet first responders who were dealing with a man who they said was combative with Fort Worth Fire Department personnel.

What the video does not depict is that it took 3 officers and 1 supervisor to effectively place the resisting subject into handcuffs, a struggle that lasted 4.5 minutes".

Fitzgerald said the struggle lasted nearly five minutes.

What the video doesn't show, according to Chief Joel Fitzgerald, is that it took three officers and one supervisor to place Curry under arrest - a struggle they say lasted almost five minutes, way longer than the 45 seconds captured on video.

Well, the investigation will go on into this specific case as to whether the officer's actions were justified.
