Early Voting in Full Swing for County Primary & Lafayette City Election
Early voting begins Thursday for next month's primary election. No further action was required on any of the ballots, but if there was a problem, the elections office contacts the voter and gives the voter a chance to correct any errors so the vote can be counted. The May 18 meeting, Scott said, is for board members to review any absentee ballots received after May 7 to see if they are postmarked prior to the May 8 primary date.
