A dry start to the weekend with some sunshine
There were a lot of places that set or tied records for the day. There were plenty of records set on Thursday.
However, storm chances rumble in late on Tuesday and spill over into Wednesday, with another potential round of scattered showers and storms for Friday.
Any showers that do develop Friday afternoon should be on the lighter side.
Thursday will stay quite warm and humid with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Expect increasing clouds and mainly dry conditions for the high country, with highs staying in the 50-60s.
Expect a few more showers to form in the mountains overnight tonight mostly in the mountains with a few possible in the Upstate and northeast Georgia. Temperatures to start the day will be in the lower 60s and warm into the upper upper 60s and lower 70s by the afternoon.

Monday: Mostly sunny and pleasant.
