Abe, Xi agree to cooperate on N.Korea
Assistant International Minister Kong Xuanyou (shoo-ANH'-yuu) says that in Japan, Li will maintain talks with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to assist map out the long run relationship.
South Korean Finance Minister Kim Dong-yeon attended the 18th Trilateral Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' Meeting here along with Bank of Korea Gov.
Abe has already expressed eagerness to visit China and realize a reciprocal trip to Japan by Xi.
The telephone talks were held at Japan's request, with Tokyo eager to win Xi's cooperation in addressing the North Korea issues.
Xi met with Kim in Beijing in March, before the leaders of North and South Korea held a summit last Friday.
Abe also said they confirmed that they would thoroughly implement U.N. Security Council resolutions on North Korea.

Xi told Moon that formally declaring an end to the 1950-1953 Korean War will end hostilities on the divided peninsula, the office said.
