Multiple blasts and gunfire on Wednesday rocked Kabul, triggering panic among the people in the war-ravaged capital.
AFP journalists heard several blasts in the heart of the city that were confirmed by police spokesman Hashmatullah Estanakzai. Minutes later, two back-to-back explosions went off in the central Shar-e-Naw commercial district. "A number of gunmen at both sites under attack are engaged with the security forces", Danish said.
A suicide bomber blew himself up at the entrance of the police station in central Kabul in an area near foreign embassies and government offices, an interior ministry official said.
Apart from the bomber, no casualties were reported and there was no claim of responsibility.
