Volkswagen has released these teaser drawings of its sizzling new Golf GTI TCR, which will be capable of 264km/h with its 250km/h limiter removed, 14km/h faster than even the Golf R.
Get ready for the fastest Golf GTI yet.
The Golf GTI TCR is similar in concept to the limited-edition 2016 Clubsport Edition 40, which marked the Golf GTI's 40th birthday and was a top-of-the-range GTI that sat just below the Golf R.
Official acceleration times have yet to be revealed, but the TCR should cover the 0-62mph sprint in about six seconds.

The TCR bit of its name is borrowed from the TCR International Series, an international touring vehicle championship, in which Volkswagen competes with a GTI-derived race auto.
