Country superstar Carrie Underwood will head to Hard Rock's Etess Arena Friday, June 29, followed by Pitbull on Saturday, June 30, as part of its Grand Opening weekend. The property will operate at the site of the former Trump Taj Mahal. The resort casino has been hiring employees in the thousands in anticipation of the reopening of what used to be the Trump Taj Mahal.
Apparently, that day will be June 28. Workers at the resort installed the first signs that would identify the complex late last week, indicating that preparations for the upcoming opening were in full swing.

The finding yesterday only applies to the land-based Hard Rock casino. A few years ago, the Florida-headquartered company expressed interest in running a casino at the existing Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, North Jersey.
Officials with the Hard Rock are scheduled to open the doors to the public on Thursday, June 28th, along with the former Revel property, which will be reopening as the Ocean Resort Casino. The following year he renamed it TEN and boasted of his plans for the property, but he never ended up doing anything with it, eventually selling to Bruce Deifik in January 2018. The businessman invested another $200 million for renovations at the property and its preparation for opening.
The 1,399-room Ocean Resort Casino will feature a 138,000-square-foot casino, 160,000 square feet of indoor meeting and convention space with another 90,000 square feet of flexible outdoor special event space, six swimming pools, including a salt-water pool and an ocean-facing sun deck with luxury cabanas. Deifik's goal from the outset was to re-open the casino and to do so quickly. According to News 12 New Jersey, "The two casinos will combine to restore about 6,500 of the 11,000 casino jobs lost since 2014 due to shutdowns".
