BJP manifesto released, reaches out to farmers
The party has named its manifesto #BJPVachana4Karnataka.
Union minister and senior BJP leader Prakash Javadekar along with Karnataka BJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa, Murlidhar Rao, Jagadish Shettar, Suresh Kumar and other leaders, release the party manifesto for the upcoming Assembly polls in Bengaluru on Friday.
- The "Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Preservation Bill 2012" will be reintroduced. While launching the manifesto, Yeddurappa announced that farmer welfare is a priority for the saffron party. We will announce a crop loan waiver up to Rs1 Lakh, including all loans from Nationalised Banks and Co-operatives, in our first Cabinet Meeting for the benefit of our Annadaatas.
He said that BJP will spend Rs 15 lakhs croe for complet all ongoing irrigation projects by 2023 under "Sujalam Suphalam Karnataka" and will launch "Mission Kalyani" to rejuvenate all tanks and lakes in the State.
He also promised the formation of a Special Investigation Cell under a woman Police Officer, which will employ up to 1000 women Police officers to investigate all pending crimes against women. He informed that an increase the amount payable at maturity under the Bhagyalakshmi scheme to Rs 2 Lakh.

The party has also promised to establish a Karnataka Culture Centre in Mysuru which will house a mega auditorium constructed in the Hoysala style of architecture, a Karnataka museum built in the Chalukyan style of architecture, Pattabhi Jois Centre for Yoga Studies and the Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar Centre of Shastriya Sangeetha.
The manifesto was released after paying homage to party sitting MLA and its candidate for Jayanagar constituency BN Vijaykumar, who died of a massive heart attack at a hospital here today.
