Now is not a good time to be a critically acclaimed comedy on Fox, and fans know it.
Other early cancellations include Fox's "The Last Man on Earth" and "The Mick" (The Mick had been expected to return back in early April); and CBS freshman comedies "9JKL" and "Living Biblically". Could the network be considering a change in direction?
This season, Brooklyn Nine-Nine averaged 2.7 million viewers each week compared to the previous season's weekly average of 2.9 million viewers. Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Joe Lo Truglio, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, and Chelsea Peretti star in the hit series.
Season 5's finale will revolve around Jake and Amy's wedding, which showrunner Dan Goor has previously stated was not meant to be the series finale, but should the worst happen (which it has), then fans will be satisfied with how things wind down. The comedy, which starred Will Forte, Kristen Schaal, Mary Steenburgen, as survivors of a deadly virus that killed off a bulk of the population was killed off by a deadly plague, was in its fourth season.

Numerous fans are thanking the show for its proper representation. Still awaiting word on cancelation or renewal is Bob's Burgers, The Exorcist, Family Guy, Gotham, Lethal Weapon, Lucifer, Ghosted, and L.A.to Vegas.
