The earnings were a minimal revenue change from Trump's disclosure form the previous year, which reported $287.8 million from the beginning of 2016 to April 15, 2017, according to analysis by MarketWatch.

The Trump International Hotel is less than a mile from the White House.

According to the Associated Press, Donald Trump's organization purchased the golf course in 2012. Of note, the hotel first opened late 2016.

Income doubled at the hotel, which Trump has been known to frequent for a steak along with aides and friends, reaching $40.4 million, according to Trump's disclosure released Wednesday.

The lawyer, William Consovoy, claimed that the suit should be tossed because the president can not be sued in the matter either as an individual or in his official capacity.

Blumenthal argues that Trump profits from foreign states through his ownership of the D.C. hotel and Trump World Tower in New York City.
