Everton end ties with Allardyce

Everton tried to bring Silva in from Watford before settling on Allardyce as the replacement for the fired Ronald Koeman.

Allardyce lasted seven months at Everton after signing an 18-month deal with the northwest club in late November when it was near the relegation zone.

Speaking after being recognised by the LMA for his 1000 games in management, Allardyce said: "I'm shocked, disappointed and disgusted that the football club didn't have the decency to tell me, my Director of Football and my staff about the changes". Sam was brought in at a challenging time last season to provide us with some stability and we are grateful to him for doing that.

The 63-year-old came out of retirement last year to take charge of an Everton side under desperate circumstances and guided them to an eighth place finish in the Premier League.

Facing that reality, Le Maire said the European Union should strengthen its own legal arsenal against any such future USA threats. As a private citizen, Bolton suggested in the past that the United States push for a change in Iran's government.

Watford made an official complaint to the Premier League at the time over what they felt was the tapping up of their former manager.

Well, reports suggest that the former Hull City and Watford boss Marco Silva could be set to fill his shoes.

Allardyce, who was briefly England manager in 2016 before returning to club management at Crystal Palace last season, had already reacted angrily to the structural changes at the club prior to his meeting with majority owner Iranian-born British tycoon Farhad Moshiri. "Again, we'd like to place on record our honest thanks to Sam for his work with us over the last few months and wish him well for the future".

Shakhtar Donetsk coach Fonseca has also been linked with Everton as well as West Ham, while Louis van Gaal, Andre Villas-Boas, Sergio Conceicao, Sean Dyche and Eddie Howe are other names reportedly in the frame.
