Fond du Lac man eats 30000th Big Mac
Don Gorske ate his first Big Mac in 1972 at a McDonald's in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin and returned there on Friday to eat his 30,000 Big Mac, breaking his own world record.
He suffers from obsessive compulsive disorder and has kept nearly every receipt for every Big Mac he's purchased. Since then, 64-year-old Don has missed eating one of the sandwiches only eight times. On the day McDonald's founder Ray Kroc died in 1984, Gorske ate his 5,978th Big Mac.
The Guinness Book of World Records came to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to record Gorske eating his 29,482nd Big Mac in October, broadcasting it on Facebook.
This Big Mac fan has become a big deal.
The last day he didn't have a Big Mac was Thanksgiving Day in 2011, when McDonald's was closed and he thought he had a burger in the freezer.
He even has the day when McDonald's switched to shredded lettuce marked down: February 10, 1999.

Don Gorske is tall and thin with a graying ponytail.
"I've never peeled a game piece off a Big Mac carton", he said.
In 2003 Ellen DeGeneres requested Gorske's cholesterol be checked. In 2006, he crossed the finish line of the San Diego marathon with his 21,387th Big Mac in hand.
His cholesterol is low, his blood pressure is healthy and he weighs less now than he did five years ago when he ate his 25,000th Big Mac. He also appeared in the movie Supersize Me.
A retired USA prison guard has eaten his 30,000th Big Mac, almost 46 years after eating his first.
Each Big Mac consists of two 1.6oz beef patties, three slices of bread, American cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions and a "special sauce" made up mainly of mayonnaise and ketchup.
