Indigo staffer makes hoax bomb call ay IGI arrested

IndiGo is facing the heat yet again.

An Indigo staff member has been arrested for allegedly making a hoax bomb call at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, reports news agency ANI. The airport security staff immediately issued an alert, starting a physical check of hand baggage, screening of passengers and the entire cargo area of Mumbai-bound flights.

The call about the bomb threat in the Mumbai-bound flight, which was set to depart from the Delhi airport, was received at 8.15 am on May 2 at the office of IndiGo Airlines. The call was later declared as a hoax.

During investigation, the police team zeroed-in on the accused, Kartik Madhav Bhat.

But in an interview on ABC's "This Week" program, Bolton said: "That's not the policy of the administration. Germany said it will spend the next few months trying to persuade Washington to change its mind.

"He was depressed and made the call out of frustration and to teach a lesson to the airlines". They said the identity of the caller was ascertained by checking the details of the mobile phone number used for the call.

Thereafter he started his job in Aviation Sector and was presently serving in Indigo Airlines as "Customer Service Officer" at Pune Airport.
