Police shut down part of I-470 after a man was found dead along the road Saturday evening
Lee's Summit Police said they would continue to investigate the incident, which occurred near northbound M-291 Highway near the I-470 merger.

Witnesses reported they had seen a vehicle stopped near Harter's truck and that he was arguing with someone.
A family in Missouri is making an emotional plea to find the driver who killed their son in a possible road rage stabbing.
Police believe Harter was stabbed during the confrontation before the other driver fled.
Investigators haven't released a description of the suspect or the vehicle that suspect was driving.

"It appears our victim was in traffic and involved in some type of altercation with another person in traffic", Chris Depue, a spokesman for Lee's Summit Police Department, tells ABC News. The Kansas City Star reports he was in the Lee's Summit area to replace a mower that went out on him; Harter was one semester out from getting his degree in technical engineering from Missouri Western State University and ran a lawn-mowing business on the side.
"Cody Michael Harter is my son", Harter's mother Kerrie said at a press conference Sunday.
"He was not just a number", she said.
"It was senseless. He's been to war and back and to die because someone was angry", she said. He also assisted with hurricane relief in Houston and Puerto Rico. "I can only imagine someone was upset because he wasn't going fast enough".
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has information on the case is encouraged to call detectives at 816-969-1705. "Is that a reason to take his life and leave him there?"
"He would do anything to help anyone at the drop of a hat", said his sister, Kylee Harter. "He realized adventure. He realized kindness, we understand loss and pain".
