The outlet reports that Dungey's comments may be related to the fact that Designated Survivor was constantly changing showrunners in its short two-season run.

Fans of Designated Survivor should not give up on the show as there is a report that Netflix could be reviving the series following its cancellation by ABC!

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news and while a deal is still far from completion - the series is an expensive one to make and the streaming rights now belong to Hulu in the United States - it's a very intriguing prospect.
