The Raptors Seriously Congratulated Dwane Casey on Coach of the Year Nomination

Last week, the Raptors relieved Dwane Casey of his duties as the franchise's head coach after the team was eliminated from this year's playoffs by the Cleveland Cavaliers. They chose to fire head coach Dwane Casey, the best coach in franchise history.

Just days before his firing, the 61-year-old was named as the NBA Coaches Association's Coach of the Year.

Casey coached the Raptors for seven seasons. His efforts were justified Wednesday, when it was announced that Casey is one of three finalists-along with Boston's Brad Stevens and Utah's Quin Snyder-for Coach of the Year.

Multiple people hurt after school bus, dump truck crash in NJ
NY reports that the bus came from East Brook Middle School in Paramus, a public school serving roughly 650 students in grades 5-8. State police said an unknown number of children were on the bus, but they don't know how serious the injuries might be.

The Raptors Twitter inexplicably chose to give out a congratulations to the coach they just fired days ago.

Of course, this could just have been the team's way of showing gratitude to their departed coach as he did give them their best ever campaign and turned them into one of the top teams in the east. Toronto, however, congratulated Casey on the team's official account. Toronto reportedly never made him an offer. As not too long ago, Dwane Casey was sacked by the organization.
