Turkey has threatened retaliatory measures if the United States will stop arms sales
In an interview with broadcaster CNN Turk, Cavusoglu said the measures in the bill were wrong, illogical and not fitting between the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies.
Turkey signed an agreement with Russian Federation in December to buy S-400 surface-to-air missile batteries as part of Ankara's plans to boost its defense capabilities amid threats from Kurdish and Islamist militants at home and conflicts across its borders in Syria and Iraq.
"If the United States will impose sanctions against us, or take such a step, Turkey will fully repay the same", said Cavusoglu.
The S-400 is an advanced Russian missile system created to detect, track, and destroy planes, drones, or missiles as far as 402 kilometers away.
The tensions between Washington and Ankara have largely centered around Turkey's agreement with Russian Federation, signed in December, to buy the S-400 to improve its defenses. It would halt all sales until the Pentagon completes a report to Congress on the status of the relationship between the U.S. and Turkey.
